Services
As part of a normal routine visit I will perform a full external and then inter oral exam on the horse, discussing any findings with the owner or agent,I will fully explain the treatment(s) that may be needed to be carried out, with the use of battery powered diamond coated power tools a full balance of the arcades and reduction of the buccal and lingual enamel cusps and focal overgrowths (within reason) the rostral profiling of the first pre molars and reduction of ETR are all included in a basic charge, also removal of deciduous Capps/fragments as well.
A full and comprehensive dental chart is filled out for every horse with both the owner/trainer and myself retaining a copy for record keeping.
I don’t generally take out wolf teeth unless under veterinary sedation due to the closeness of the Paletine artery and the high risk of snapping the teeth off and leaving uncomfortable fragments behind that neither you or him will thank me for and more importantly for the welfare of the horse. I also am not a crash test dummy for crazy horses,I do work in a calm manner but I will not make excuses for lack of manners as I’m sure you would not like either of us to be injured, if your horse needs sedating for any of these reasons we will contact your veterinary surgeon and re-book another appointment.
I don’t at present charge a call-out fee or fuel money, If you do have a single horse the wait maybe longer.
I have a normal charge for a routine float and balance and extra is generally charged for remedial work and wolf tooth/retained cap extractions.
Racing yards are all priced the same at my standard racing tariff which can be discussed at the time of contact.
All charges are plus VAT at the standard rate and a full VAT invoice will be given.
